LRD-Lasers
The LRD models
are our most powerful diode lasers. Latronix has installed several thousands
of
LD- and LRD-lasers
in sawmills and other heavy industries.
With our high output
powers the LRD-Lasers produces lines with a much better brightness
than HeNe lasers normally do. There is no high voltage inside. In
addition they are more compact and rugged and have a longer
lifetime.
Red light ...
The
output power ranges from 6mW up to a current maximum of 75mW when using 635nm diodes. The reason for choosing 635nm as a
standard wavelength is that this has the best visibility for the
human eye amongst the red colours.
... but also green
LRD
In the green light LRD-lasers
source is a diode pumped YLF-laser with frequency doubling. The green light is located
close to the maximum sensitivity of the human eye and the laser line has a far better
visibility than red light with the same output power. Compared to a 635nm light the
visibility is 4 - 5 times better, so an 8 mW green laser gives the same brightness as a 30
- 40mW red laser with a wavelength of 635nm.
